Acorn, the premium gearbox brand under GUOMAO, has built a strong presence in South America over the years. As the brand continues to grow in the region, it has earned recognition from customers, who now view Acorn as a competitive alternative to SEW.
To further strengthen its position and better compete with industry leaders like SEW, Acorn is committed to improving its delivery times. To achieve this, GUOMAO has planned the establishment of a local assembly factory in Colombia, ensuring faster delivery of Acorn gearboxes to customers in South America.
In January 2018, Mr. Jun, a key employee from our Colombian branch, visited the GUOMAO factory for advanced assembly training. Upon returning to Colombia, Mr. Jun worked closely with local staff, imparting essential assembly knowledge and providing hands-on training. Thanks to this collaboration, the local team is now fully equipped with the necessary skills to assemble gearboxes efficiently.
With a well-trained workforce and parts already shipped to Colombia, Acorn is poised to significantly reduce delivery times, offering faster service to our South American customers. This strategic move will help Acorn better serve the growing demand for high-quality gearboxes in the region and strengthen its competitive edge in the market.
